Day 1: Arrival at the Airport/ Pick up from the Hotel

7 Day Uganda Birding Safari Full itinerary 

As usual, we keep in touch with our clients; we shall pick you from a safari Vehicle fully furnished for your reputable Birding Safari. Be picked from your hotel or Entebbe international Airport and proceed for your 7 days bird watching Safari.

Day 2: Birding Entebbe City Uganda

Entebbe is an alluring place that attracts numerous bird species to its strategic position and the physical features around. The Entebbe peninsular gives an epic moment as you visit the Uganda wildlife Education centre, Botanical Gardens; which gives a sight at the Olive, Olive bellied, Green Throated and Collard sunbird, Yellow Backed and Golden Backed weaver, Green Crombec, Gabor Goshawk, Lizzard Buzzard, Diederik Cuckoo, Ashy Flycatcher, Orange, Slender Billed, Black Headed, Klaas, Palm Nut Vulture, Grey Woodpecker, Great Blue Turaco and many more, with ofcourse a chance to see the Bat Hawk on your lucky day

Day 3: Birding Mabamba Swamp – A home for the rare shoe bill

As guided by your 7 days itinerary, our guide will drive you to the Mabamba Swamp early morning hours, Mabamba Swamp is a famous home breeding ground for the Shoebill Stork and as well as other Uganda water loving birds of which include; Purple and common Squacco Heron, Northern Brown Throated Weaver, African and Lesser Jacana, Allen’s and Purple Gallinule, Yellow Billed Duck, Malachite Kingfisher and other bird species.

Have lunch and transfer to lake Mburo National Park, enroute via the reverting best briding place Kaaku, step out of the safari van and spot numerous bird species on several stop overs, Spot out , Lesser Jacana, Moorhen, Rufous-bellied Heron and many water loving bird species. Late evening hours, check in to a safari hotel as guided from your itinerary, have dinner and overnight. Accommodation options: Arcadia Cottages or Rwonyo Rest Camp

Day 4: Birding Lake Mburo National Park

Wake up early morning to catch up with the land breezes setting up numerous birds over the vegetation around the park in the spruce sentenced woodlands. Our guide will help you locate the lake Mburo bird species like Brown-chested Plover (migratory bird from western Africa Tanzania and Uganda in peak months of June of December), Red-faced Barbet, , Red Headed Weaver, Coqui, Crested Francolin and many more mburo birds. After your heavy lunch meal, prepare for a boat cruise on lake mburo where the open water body mass catches your mond as you see water loving birds especially the African Finfoot.

Day 5: Birding Queen Elizabeth National Park

Early morning hours, sets us ready to drive through the Mbarara city to Queen Elizabeth, check in and prepare for an evening boat ride at the 32-kilometre long natural Kazinga channel that links Lake Edward, the channel is a spectacular birding place to a school of numerous water bird species like the African skimmer, fish eagles, African spoon bill and many more. Well as we sail over the kazinga channel, expect to encounter with a school hibernating crocodiles and Hippos.

Day 6: Birding Queen Elizabeth National Park – Popular Uganda Wildlife Park

Queen Elizabeth National Park occupies an estimated 1,978 square kilometres and is a home to over 500 bird species in the Park, our guide will be aware of the best birding zones. Spend a whole day adventure in the grasslands watching Savannah dwelling birds in the park like the Verreaux’s Eagle-Owl, Black Headed Gonolek, Amur Falcon, Ovambo Sparrowhawk, Martial Eagle, African Skimmer, Harlequin Quail , Lowland Akalat, Blue Quail, Small (Common) Buttonquail, African Crake, Lappet Faced Vultures,  Rupell’s Griffon, Temminck’s Courser, Martial Eagle and many more.

Queen Elizabeth National Park is also known for its absorbing Uganda wildlife, including Cape buffaloes, hippopotami, crocodiles, elephants, leopards, lions, and chimpanzees. It is home to 95 mammal species. The game drive shall lead us to these horrifying features in the park

Day 7: Retreat from 7 Days Birding Uganda Safari

Early morning hours shall set us from the greenish queen Elizabeth landscape back to where we came from. Our guide will be with you thought the 7 days Uganda safari birding through numerous Uganda Zones, retire back to your hotel or be transferred to the Airport for your flight.
