Our terms & conditions: Before confirming any safari with Umarella Voyage Safaris, please review Our Terms & Conditions carefully.
They are designed to protect both the traveler and the company.

By requesting a booking confirmation, you confirm that you have read and understood them.
In addition, you agree to legally bound by these conditions once payment is made.

These Terms & Conditions apply to all safari packages and travel services.
They also govern services provided through our contracted suppliers and partners.

Safari Booking Procedure

Upon request, we will send you a detailed safari booking form.

Each traveler must complete and submit an individual form.
Once received, availability is checked and confirmed.

After confirmation, the booking becomes a legally binding contract.
Therefore, all personal details must be accurate and complete.

Before confirmation, clients must disclose any special requirements.
These include dietary needs, medical conditions, disabilities, or mobility concerns.

While we strive to accommodate such requests, fulfillment is not guaranteed.
Special arrangements depend on supplier availability and park regulations.

Changes after booking may be possible in some cases.
However, gorilla and chimpanzee trekking dates may not get changed once permits are issued due to limited  availability.

Safari Price Inclusions and Exclusions

Unless otherwise stated, safari prices include essential ground services.
These typically cover transportation in a safari vehicle.

Accommodation is booked according to the selected category.
A professional English-speaking guide is provided throughout the safari.

Park entry fees for all listed national parks are included.
Gorilla and chimpanzee trekking permits are included where indicated.

Meals are provided as specified in the itinerary.
Bottled drinking water is supplied during game drives.

Exclusions may include international flights, visas, tips, and personal expenses.
Such exclusions are clearly stated in your final itinerary.

Payment Terms and Booking Confirmation as to our Terms & conditions

A 30% deposit per person is required to confirm a booking.
This deposit secures accommodations and safari services.

Gorilla and chimpanzee permits require full advance payment.
As a result, the initial deposit may exceed 30% in some cases.

Luxury lodges, charter flights, or special activities may also require advance payment.
The remaining balance must get settled no later than six weeks before departure.

Bookings made within 32 days of arrival require full payment at confirmation.
Failure to meet payment deadlines may result in cancellation unless agreed otherwise.

Payment methods include Visa credit cards, bank transfers, and cash deposits.
All bank and transfer charges are paid by the client.

Online payment links are available on our website for convenience.
Credit card payments must get completed six weeks before safari start.

Safari Operations and Wildlife Viewing

Our terms & conditions

All wildlife sightings occur in natural habitats.
Therefore, sightings isn’t guaranteed.

Animals move freely and unpredictably within national parks.
For this reason, patience and realistic expectations are essential.

Our guides and rangers use their expertise to enhance viewing opportunities.
Nevertheless, Umarella Voyage Safaris does not guarantee specific animal sightings.

We reserve the right to refuse participation to any client.
This applies if behavior threatens safety, property, or the environment.

In such cases, no refunds is issued.
We also accept no liability for related expenses.

Safari vehicles are regularly serviced and well maintained.
However, rough roads may cause delays, punctures, or breakdowns.

Such incidents are beyond our control.
Decisions made by the guide regarding routes and safety are final.

Cancellation and Refund as to Our Terms & Conditions

Cancellation by Umarella Voyage Safaris

Occasionally, cancellation may become unavoidable.
However, we always make every effort to avoid this.

Confirmed safaris aren’t canceled within 60 days of departure.
Exceptions apply only in cases of force majeure.

These include natural disasters, political unrest, or government restrictions.
If cancellation occurs, suitable alternatives are offered.

You may choose a similar safari of equal value if available.
If the alternative is cheaper, the difference is refunded.

If it is more expensive, you’re asked to pay the difference.
Alternatively, a full refund of payments made is issued.

Please note, gorilla and chimpanzee permits are non-refundable once issued.

Cancellation and Refund Policy by the Client

All cancellations are submitted in writing or via email.
The cancellation date is the date we receive your notice.

The following charges apply:

  • 60 days or more before arrival: 45%
  • 59–32 days before arrival: 65%
  • 31–8 days before arrival: 75%
  • 7 days before arrival: 85%
  • 6–0 days before arrival: 100%

Gorilla permits and flight tickets are 100% non-refundable.
No refunds apply for unused services or early departures.

Failure to join the safari is also non-refundable.

Liability and Force Majeure

We promise to perform our services with reasonable care and skill.
However, liability is limited to services under our direct control.

We aren’t held responsible for events beyond our control.
These include flight delays, strikes, epidemics, or natural disasters.

Additional examples include border closures, road conditions, or extreme weather.
Such events constitute force majeure under travel law.

No compensation is payable for these circumstances.

Complaints and Customer Support

If an issue arises during your safari, notify your guide immediately.
Most problems are resolved on-site.

If unresolved, contact our office using the provided emergency contacts.
We value feedback and encourage constructive suggestions.

Our aim is to deliver exceptional safari experiences consistently.

Health and Medical Responsibility

By booking, you confirm you are physically fit to travel.
This includes all planned safari activities.

Clients are responsible for obtaining medical advice before travel.
Required vaccinations and medications must get arranged in advance.

Any medical conditions should get disclosed prior to departure.
This helps us plan appropriately and responsibly.

Travel Insurance Requirements

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all clients.
Coverage must include medical emergencies and evacuation.
