Exclusive Uganda Primate Safari Tour, offers magical and unique places that feature on the top Savannah destinations to visit on a Uganda Safari.  It’s rare insight of unending mouthwatering secluded sceneries, From the tranquility of Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary onto Murchison falls National Park.  And then via the home of tree climbing lions in the secluded corner of the re-owned Queen Elizabeth National Park. Later the Chimpanzee tracking Safari in the Kyambura gorge. What to do and see on our Exclusive Uganda Primate Safari

Our travelers most often love a short visit to sight at the “big-five“.  So shall we begin with a short visit to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola District? it’s in the Kafu River Basin, off the Kampala–Gulu Highway. Have an experience with the southern white rhinoceros. Furthermore,  have it in mind that it’s also home to at least 40 mammal and reptilian species like monkeys, antelopes, hippos, crocodiles and numerous bird species. Other activities at Ziwa rhino sanctuary include; birding, canoe rides and nature walks.

A short Hike to top of the Murchison falls National Park is a magical tranquility of unending insights as you stand in awe at the Nile forcing its way through a gap in the rocks, only 7 metres wide, later tumbling down 43 metres flowing westward into Lake Albert. The Open Savannah features 76 species of mammals as well as Uganda’s largest population of Nile crocodiles, waterbirds, lions, leopards, herds of buffaloes, bird species, kobs, warthogs, Monkeys and many more.

Ishasha sector

Ishasha sector is a place not to miss in Queen Elizabeth National Park, with it’s small section yet with alot of Wildlife roaming in the beautiful sceneries. This is a key thriller for the tree climbing lions and hundreds of Kobs feeding in the Open. Queen Elizabeth National Park is not only a fountain of tree climbing lions but also one of the most visited Savannah in Uganda with diverse activities to fall in love with.

The Bwindi Forest

Bwindi Impenetrable forest Park has more than half of the remaining Population of Mountain Gorillas with over 14 habituated groups accessible for tourism. A customized Safari can include double gorilla tracking Safari. Bwindi is a key destination for bird-lovers from all over the world, the park features over 120 species of mammals, 348 species of birds, 220 species of butterflies, 27 species of frogs, chameleons, geckos, and many endangered species.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Entebbe International Airport

Our driver will pick you up from the Airport and transfer you to your preferred Hotel/accommodation (budget, mid-range or luxury accommodation are available). This is where you will have your dinner and overnight. Our reservations manager will help you book your preserved accommodation in one of the safe places that we normally suggest.

Day 2: Travel from Kampala Via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to Murchison falls National Park

Wake up early morning and have your breakfast, Our guide will brief you shortly about the Itinerary, Have a 2-3 hours drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a complete view at the home of Rhinos in Nakasongola district. Proceed thru the curvy roads and have a stopover for a lunch in Masindi. Later a short 2 hours drive opens us to Murchison falls National Park, Remember to close the Car windows so as not to lose your lunch to the forest Baboons along the road.

Further more, Begin with a hike to top of the falls to see the river Nile water force it’s way thru a squeezed narrow gorge about 7 metres gashing down the rocks with a thunderous roar forming a water spray that results into a stunning rainbow marking the wonders of River Nile. After Hiking Murchison falls, proceed to your lodge for your dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Murchison falls Game Drive, River Nile Boat Cruise

After your morning breakfast, head for a game drive in the Open Savannah to see hundreds of Murchison falls wildlife, Spot out the lion, leopard, African Elephants, Kobs, Warthogs, Buffaloes, Pattas Monkeys, Giraffes, water bucks, hippos and may others. This is a an iconic opportunity for your photo captions(remember to charge your Camera/phone prior)

More so, For bird lovers, you will encounter with hundreds of bird species loitering in the Open. Feel free to ask the bird names that you may see around. Retire back, have lunch and then prepare for a 2 hours boat cruise on river Nile, the Orange sunsets keep calmness to the Savannah and offer clear views to hundreds of aquatic life. You will sight at the Hippos, crocodiles, water loving birds among others. The boat cruise extends to the bottom of the Murchison falls with a big swash of water coming out thru a narrow gorge with a thunderous roar sound. After the experience on the river Nile, retire back to the lodge for your dinner and relaxation.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Wake up early morning, have your breakfast, checkout the lodge and prepare for a transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, the road drive to south western Uganda thru Fortportal and then traversing the Albertine Escarpments of the Western Rift Valley is a haven of thrilling adventures. From the unwinding rolling hills covered with plantations to the diverse cultures practicing unique activities gives a complete insight for an authentic Safari in the pearl of Africa.

Have lunch in fort-portal at the Mountains of the moon Hotel, then proceed thru Mweya Peninsula a main gateway to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will arrive late in the evening hours, check into our lodge for your dinner and slumber at the lodge.

Day 5: Game Drive in Queen elizabeth National Park

After your morning breakfast, prepare for the Morning Game drive in the Open Savannah, this is the best time to see the early risers in the Park inclusive of Lions, Leopards, grazing buffaloes and Kobs, Antelopes, elephants, hippos, warthogs among others. This is also an ideal point to see nocturnals returning back to their hiding zones.

The Savannah is a birders Paradise on a birding Uganda Safari and features most of the endemic and non-endemic birds up to the Albertine rift. Retire back to the lodge, have lunch and embark on to the different Section of the Park to see Murchison falls Game drive and perhaps encountering with those that you could have missed in the Morning. Day 6: Kazinga channel Boat cruise and Chimpanzee trekking Kyambura Gorge

Have an early breakfast and then proceed to the 2 hours boat cruise at Kazinga channel, the channel offers a tranquility of water loving birds, game viewing to the adjacent Murchison wildlife. Spot out a school of Hippos in the channel, Nile crocodiles and some of the fishing communities residing around. Embark to the lodge for your lunch and then prepare for the most thrilling adventure in the jungle.

In fact, Chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge is a quiet a demanding activity and requires those who have prepared for it as might be tiresome tracking the Chimps. After the Chimp trek, if we have time, we shall opt for a nature forest walk in Maramagambo forest to sight at the bat caves and as well as tracing for the Pythons. Or else retire back to your lodge for your dinner and supper.

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park via Ishasha Sector

Wake up very early in the morning and have your breakfast, check out and then proceed thru Ishasha Sector, a secluded corner that offers a special feeling as you maneuver thru the Open, it’s like taking a deep breath, looking out over the amazing nature that features the tree climbing lions that are most prevalent here, African elephants, leopards, hyenas, Hippos among others.Proceed to Bwindi, have lunch along the way and then proceed to the home of gorillas.

In addition, Begin with a community nature walk, visiting the Batwa – forest pygmies for your cultural experience and some entertainment. Dinner and slumber at the lodge for your accommodation.

Day 8: Gorilla tracking Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park

This is the last activity on our Exclusive Uganda Primate Safari Tour, wake up early morning and have your breakfast. Our guide will transfer you to the park headquarters to be briefed about the gorilla trekking Safari. Take caution of the rules and regulations for a gorilla trek. Along with the game ranger penetrate the thick Verdant forest.

More so,The trek normally lasts 1-2 hours to encounter with the Gorillas. Spend 1 hour with them learning their way of life, see how they lay nests, feed and groom one another. Stand in a close distance and get eye to eye with the Bwindi Giants, this is a memorable gorilla trekking experience that has it all. After the experience, retire back to your lodge for your lunch and a short relaxation. If you are not tired, feel free to enjoy nature walks in the communities or taking numerous photo-captions till evening. Have lunch and dinner.

Day 9: Transfer from Bwindi back to Kampala/ Entebbe Airport

Wake up early morning and have your breakfast, prepare and check out of the lodge. En-route back, have lunch in Mbarara and proceed to your drop point, Reach Kampala in the Afternoon, if we have enough time, we can have a Kampala city tour with a full glance at the 7 hill of Kampala. You’re transferred to the Airport to catch up with your flight or to your preferred hotel in Kampala.
